Site specific project, the parallax as an instrument of vision.

Each binocular was specially reconstructed to carry in each eye piece images gathered from field research around the Banff territory. Collision of the meetings between animals when confronted by the rail, highway and tourism within this delicate geographical area.

When one is approaching the binoculars for a private view within this public space, one thinks that will see a closer view of the gorgeous landscape, but instead is taken by surprise by the actual view of killed animals upon their collision with trains, cars or people’s habits.
